As of January 1, 2026, Connecticut will grant minimum continuing legal education (MCLE) credit for certain pro bono work. This new rule allows attorneys to satisfy some of the required hours of MCLE by providing uncompensated legal services to clients unable to afford counsel, if the attorney does it through a pro bono program administered by an approved organization such as Pro Bono Partnership. Attorneys can receive one hour of credit for every three hours of uncompensated legal services, up to a maximum of six hoursΒ during a calendar year.
Please reach out to us directly if you are interested in learning more about this new rule and how working with Pro Bono Partnership can help you satisfy the Connecticut MCLE requirements by emailing volunteer@probonopartner.org.
