New Jersey SAFE Act: Unpaid Leave for Victims of Domestic or Sexual Violence

This article describes the New Jersey Security and Financial Empowerment Act (NJ SAFE Act), which requires employers with 25 or more employees to provide up to 20 days of unpaid leave during a 12-month period to eligible New Jersey employees when the employees or certain family members of the employees have been victimized by β€œan incident of domestic violence” or β€œa sexually violent offense.”
